SUNDAY 18TH JUNE BODEDERN v MOCHDRE

Mochdre's Sunday XI racked up their third win of the season with a comfortable 62 run victory at Bodedern. Batting first, Mochdre were indebted to a superb 102 by Alun Evans, continuing his rich vein of form, who received good suppo rt from Azim Hussain, 30, as he steered his side to 205 for 5 off their 40 overs. Excellent bowling by the youngsters, Tom Cain, 2 for 41, Russell Boswell, 1 for 17, Stuart Jones, 1 for 24, and Phil Dickson, 2 for 0 at the death, saw Bodedern fall for 14 3.

SUNDAY 25TH JUNE MOCHDRE v PWLLHELI

Cavalier cricket was the order of the day as Mochdre's Sunday XI continued their good form in the Holland Arms Garden Centre Sunday League with a 16 run victory over Pwllheli. Work commitments prevent Azim Hussain and Peter S Williams turning out on Saturdays but they demonstrated their class with a stand of 166 for the third wicket. Hussain stroked 16 boundaries on his way to a wristily brilliant unbeaten 105, whilst Williams powered his way to 63 before being run out. Pwllheli battled bravely to pass Mochdre's to tal of 235 for 7, Sion Wesley hitting 81 not out, before the overs ran out at 219 for 3. Youngsters Russell Boswell, Gareth Goodson and Dave Hawley claimed a wicket apiece as Mochdre continue to lay down the bedrock for the future.
